What is merchant onboarding?

Merchant onboarding is the process of registering and verifying businesses or individuals as authorized merchants to accept payments through ShopSe. It typically involves providing necessary documentation, undergoing identity verification, and agreeing to terms and conditions.

What documents are required for a proprietor merchant?

The following documents are required for a proprietor merchant: Proprietor's Bank Account-Cancelled Cheque Proprietor's PAN Proprietor's Driving License or Passport or Personal Bank Passbook or Voter ID GST Certificate

What documents are required for an HUF merchant?

What should I capture in the store photo?

The store photo should capture: GetShopse +1 GetShopse +1 The entrance of the store. The store name. The inside of the store.

Why is the GST number required?

The GST number is required to digitally verify the company's profile

Why are bank account details required?

Bank account details are required to settle all the ShopSe transactions in your account. The account details should be the business current account.

What is MDR?

MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) is the ShopSe service charge. MDR is payable by the merchant only on successful transactions. MDR will be auto-deducted from the settlement amount.

What do you mean by "No-Cost EMI"?

No-Cost EMI is a feature where your customer does not have to pay any interest on the product amount. The interest amount is given in the form of an upfront discount, which helps in higher sales.

How do I contact the ShopSe team?

How much time will the customer need to complete the purchase?

The customer can complete the purchase instantly by scanning the ShopSe QR code.

Is there any documentation required from the customer?

No. It is an instant EMI without any paperwork. The user just needs to have a credit card or debit card of select banks. If the customer chooses the ShopSe Digital Finance option, then the customer will have to complete a few extra steps like eKYC and setting up of eMandate.

Is the app free to use?

Yes, the app is free for download and use.

Why is it asking for my KYC documents?

As per RBI regulations and to ensure the settlement amount is transferred to your business account, KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation is required.

How will I know if the transaction was successful?

You will receive a notification in your app, SMS on your registered number and an email on your registered email ID. You can also check the status of the transaction in the app.

When will I get the money in my account?

Your settlement amount will be credited within T+ 3 days. For eg. If the transaction took place on the 10th, then by 13th you will have the amount in your account; except Sundays, Bank holiday/ National holidays. In case of any issue - please drop an email on care@getshopse.com

Can I refund a transaction?

Yes, you can initiate a refund for a transaction as per the refund policy of your company. Refunds from ShopSe will be allowed only if you have a credit balance with us. If the balance is not available, you will have to pre-fund our account following which we can initiate the refund to the customer. For more understanding, reach out to us on ops@getshopse.com

Can I partially refund a transaction?

Yes, we allow a partial refund of transactions.

Where can I check all my past transactions?

Click on "Transactions" tab and you will see all your previous transaction history.

Can I change the EMI offer for every transaction?

Yes, ShopSe provides the flexibility to set the EMI offer for every transaction by clicking "New transaction" in the app. If the customer is doing a transaction by scanning the QR code in your store, then the default offer set by you will be applicable.

How much GST will I be charged?

GST will be charged at 18% on the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR).
